Storage Solutions
Storage plays a huge part in our business
as evidenced by our 53,000+ square foot warehouse in Richmond and another
23,000+ square foot warehouse in Petersburg, VA. We have the space to store
more then 2 million pounds of household goods. Our warehouses are alarmed,
have fire sprinklers and temperature controlled.
Everything we store is placed in a large wooden crate called a vault. The
vault is 7' X 7'X 5'. All items are inventoried at pick-up and checked off
when inventoried out. Any differences in the condition of your items is
noted. The vaults are loaded on a flat bed truck and brought to your
residence and loaded. All furniture is padded and shrink wrapped to prevent
soiling or dust and sofa's are placed on special racks. This prevents
pressure on your soft goods.
When the truck arrives back at the warehouse, the vaults are unloaded with a
forklift. When the time comes to move out, the vaults are loaded directly
back on a flat bed truck.
There are many advantages of doing it this way. It reduces the handling of
your goods and the likelihood of damage. and you save the labor and expense
of loading and unloading a truck.
